Having trouble receiving emails from Coworks? Here are a few things to try to troubleshoot.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Confirm if others are receiving the email

First things first, let's make sure there's not an issue with the specific message content. If you sent an announcement, did anyone receive it? If you're downloading a report, can other staff members receive that report? We want to make sure that the issue is unique to the individual and not a broader issue with the content being delivered.

2. Check Spam + Inbox Rules

The most common issue with email deliverability is that the customer has some inbox rules or filters that is preventing them from seeing the emails in their inbox. Checking your spam folder, inbox rules/filters, and any firewall settings is a good step to ensure emails can go through.

Note: If your organization has firewall rules, you can inquire about getting about whitelisting out static IP address to ensure email deliverablity to staff.

3. Confirm the email address is correct

This may seem obvious, but there are often typos or misspellings when adding members or staff to Coworks. Double-check the email to make sure or confirm with the member that their email is correct

4. Try a resend

If you're able to resend the email or retry - it's best to log multiple attempts to make sure that the request went through properly and was not disrupted by any network issues.

5. Reach out to support

If none of the above issues help, please reach out to support and provide us with the email of the person who is having issues as well as which specific email content you are trying to send (a specific announcement, report, onboarding email, etc.).

Common Issues

Brand New Emails

Oftentimes, teams will hire new members to their team and ask you to add them to Coworks. If the email is brand new - it may not have had time to process in their email server, causing the first email to bounce. This can block subsequent requests to that email. If the member/staff you're adding or messaging is brand new and their email is brand new, this is a good candidate to reach out to support if they report deliverability issues.
