How to Utilize Internal Notes on Invoices

Where to find (and how to update) internal notes on invoices.

Internal Notes

Internal Notes can be used on invoices to communicate between your team or with your accountant about special circumstances related to specific invoices.

You can find this function when you're creating or editing an invoice, in the Internal Notes section.

Note: Internal notes are only available on Invoices, not Transactions.

Where to view/add Internal Notes

  1. Go to the Invoices tab.
    ​​

  2. Find the desired invoice and click the "View" link.

  3. On the Invoice Detail page, you should see an "Internal Notes" section. Click "Edit" to add an internal note to the invoice.
