How to edit the "Update Payment Information" link included in the Failed Payment email from Stripe
Log in to your Stripe Account on the Stripe website.
Click the Settings gear in the top right, and select the "Subscriptions and emails" option under the "Billing" section, or use this direct link: https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/automatic
Scroll to the "Manage failed payments" section, and review the "Send emails to customers to update failed card payment methods" toggle.
If this is enabled, when a payment from one of your members fails, an email will be sent to them from Stripe with a link to update their payment method. Unfortunately, because the customer more than likely does not have a Stripe account, they will not be able to update their payment method using that link. This is something they would need to perform in the Coworks member mobile app.
You can disable these emails using the "Send emails to customers to update failed card payment methods" toggle if you'd like.
Please see below for an example of the email the member will receive if this is enabled:
One option here is to update the "Update Payment Information" link that will be sent in the email to the member. In your Stripe settings, you can update the "Link" section to link to verbiage from a page of your own website. This will then link your member to custom verbiage you can create on a page of your website if you wish.
You can also copy and paste this link we created that directs the member to update their payment information in the Coworks member mobile app: https://www.coworksapp.com/updatepayment
The last option is to disable this email communication in your Stripe account. Simply turn off the email setting to disable it: https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/automatic.
Warning: This would prevent your members from being notified of a failed payment. Your staff admin would still be notified if a payment fails, and you can run a weekly or monthly report in your Coworks Manager Dashboard.
Once logged in to your Coworks Manager Dashboard, navigate to Reports from the left hand navigation bar.
Under the "Billing" section, click Download on the Billing Report.
This will automatically request the report to be emailed to the user that is logged into the Manager Dashboard during this session.
See the "Failed" tab to find any failed payments for the given period.
