Noticing a strange Wells Fargo account at the bottom of customer invoices when you have a different bank?

When you email an invoice to customers, Stripe (which powers our billing system) generates a Wells Fargo account in which to receive wire transfers on your behalf from your customers. The money is sent to the Wells Fargo account and then directly transferred to your account upon receipt.

You may have noticed a Wells Fargo account at the bottom of emailed customer invoices.

This is a feature that you can actually remove from your invoices as it can cause confusion for you and your customers and create a lack of transparency as to the status of those funds while in transit. Go here to remove it from invoices.

Additionally, we recommend not emailing invoices but rather having your members go into their app to add their bank account (or card) so you can process payments automatically.

Happy Coworking!
