Coworks allows you to easily monetize your conference rooms and hot desks to non-members for additional revenue.

You can do this by listing your conference rooms publicly using the External Bookings Feature, or by listing an inventory of bookable desks using our Hot Desk Feature.

Both features allow you to set custom, non-member (guest) pricing and list these resources on your site via the auto-generated external booking link from Coworks. From there, your customers can discover, book, and fully pay/checkout to reserve those resources.

We also offer the ability to set half and full day rates as a way to incentivize your community to book more time. This can be handy sales tactic to getting longer and more lucrative reservations.

For publicly bookable conference rooms, the full/half day rates are the "Discounted Hourly Rates," or the hourly rate for booking a bulk amount of hours (not the total amount for the booking). For hourly bookings, a "half day" is defined as booking at least 4 hours, while a "full day" is defined as booking at least 8 hours.

For example, if your room costs $100/hr normally and you wanted to offer a 10% discount for half days, and a 20% discount for full day bookings, you would set your half day rate to $90 and your full day rate to $80.

Booking for 2 hours would result in the customer being charged $200.

Booking for 4 hours (a half day) would result in the customer being charged $360.

Booking for 8 hours (a full day) would result in the customer being charged $640.

You can set the half day and full day rates for a room by clicking the "Edit" option for the room, and scrolling down to the "Publicly Bookable" section.

For hot desks, customers can only book either full or half day slots. The rates for hot desks are the rates for the total length of the booking (unlike the rates for rooms, which are the hourly rates.)

In the hot desk feature, a half-day slot is dynamically calculated from your space's hours of operation (learn how to set those here). For example, if your space is open from 9am - 5pm (8 hours), a half-day slot would be 4 hours (9am - 1pm or 1pm - 5pm), whereas a full-day slot would be 8 hours (9am - 5pm).

In the example below, it costs $25 total to book a desk for half day, and it costs $45 total for a full day of booking that desk.

You can set the half day and full day rates for a hot desk by clicking the "Edit" option for the hot desk, and scrolling down to the "Publicly Bookable" section.
