External Bookings are a great way to monetize your space by allowing non-members or guests to rent out conference rooms or hot desks. Day passes similarly allow people to work in your space and pay a fee for a day.
You can automatically generate temporary access in Verkada for these customers, so they can easily unlock and access your space upon arrival.
Setup
To use this feature, start by going to your campus settings. Click the gear in the top right of your header in the Coworks Dashboard to quickly access this setting.
Start by clicking the "Edit" button to change your campus settings.
Under "Integrations," you'll see options to enable temporary access for External Bookings or Day Passes. Turn those on, and pick which door group(s) to grant access to upon checkout.
Customers will be automatically granted Verkada access during the day of their reservation (24 hours) to ensure they have time to access their booking on time.
For each reservation, we will create a unique user in Verkada with a custom access level for the duration of their booking. We will use the door group assigned to know which doors to grant access to. Coworks handles the schedule to ensure it's only valid for the duration of their reservation
Access Link Emails
After purchasing a day pass or booking, the customer will receive an email with their PIN code or a link to allow them to unlock the doors directly.
These unlock links are only valid for the duration of their booking and will only grant access to the specified doors.
